Ed received nis MD degree from UTMB Galveston. He did an internal medicine residency and one year of fellowship in allergy/immunology at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center. He served in the field at Sheppard AFB in internal medicine. After separation from the USAF, he established a practice in Tyler, Texas where he resided until his death.
