Bruce received his DO degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1975. He did a pediatric residency at Brooke Army Medical Center and his fellowship at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center. He joined the staff at Wilford Hall in 1982 and was elevated to Chief in 1984.
