Max I. Michels, MD (1967-1974) Michels graduate from the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine. He did pediatric training at the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Tx. He was the second fellow-in-training at WHMC. He was Chief from 1967 to 1974.
Robert E. Smith, MD
Robert E. Smith, MD (1962-1967) Smith trained at Scripps Clinic and was assigned to the pediatric department at WHMC. He established the Allergy/Immunology section within the department of internal medicine and was the first Chief.
